CIMC Enric Win Bid for the Largest Green Hydrogen-Ammonia-Methanol Integration Project in China

Recently, Jingmen Hongtu Special Aircraft Manufacturing CO., LTD. (“Jingmen Hongtu”) and Shijiazhuang Enric Gas Equipment Co., Ltd. (“Shijiazhuang Enric”), subsidiaries of CIMC Enric, have won the bid for the hydrogen storage equipment in the Songyuan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park (Green Hydrogen-ammonia-methanol Integration) General Contracting Project of China Energy Engineering, demonstrating the technical strength of CIMC Enric in terms of the large-scale hydrogen-ammonia- methanol storage and transportation.

It is known that Jingmen Hongtu will produce 15 medium pressure hydrogen storage spherical tanks for the first phase of the project, including 14 units of 2,000 m³ hydrogen storage spherical tanks and 1 unit of 1,500 m³ hydrogen storage spherical tank, which will become the largest hydrogen storage spherical tank project currently under construction in China in terms of the total capacity of green hydrogen storage and the number of spherical tanks. Shijiazhuang Enric will provide 8 sets of high-pressure compressor buffer tanks to adjust the hydrogen pressure to ensure the stability and safety of hydrogen transportation.

As the largest innovation demonstration project for green ammonia and green methanol synthesized by green hydrogen currently under construction in China and an key project for Jilin Province to develop the “Northern China Hydrogen Valley” and "Onshore Scenery Three Gorges", Songyuan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park of China Energy Engineering has been selected as one of the first batch of green and low-carbon advanced technology demonstration projects of the National Development and Reform Commission. The project is planned to be completed in three phases with a total investment of RMB29.6 billion, and is expected to annually produce 110,000 tons of green hydrogen, 600,000 tons of green synthetic ammonia and 60,000 tons of green methanol after completion, with a new energy project for a capacity of 3 million kilowatt to be built.
